What to expect: Montessori Mornings is a free series that will have a topic of interest each session. This is not a lecture-based class, but rather a space for like-minded caregivers to come together, have an open discussion, and learn a bit along the way. We will have a small Montessori environment set-up for the infants and toddlers to enjoy while we, the adults, observe and discuss. Bridget (Montessori in Motion) and Theresa (Montessori in Real Life) have been using Montessori at home with their little ones and are happy to answer any questions you have!

**This week, we will be meeting at Bodies for Birth in Phinney Ridge instead of our normal space in Volunteer Park.**

We are so excited to have Maura Shirey, owner of Bodies for Birth, as our guest speaker for this week's Montessori Morning. This week we will discuss common postpartum issues, easy stretches and exercises for busy mamas and the importance of self-care. Once you are postpartum, you are always postpartum. This session will be informational if you have a two month old or a two year old! For this session, we ask that only women attend.

Please RSVP for the session using the form below. We ask that you RSVP to each session, even if you have attended previous sessions.

After some introductions, we will discuss a few ways to respectfully communicate with babies and toddlers, including limit setting and accepting emotions. By learning to observe and speak respectfully to your child, we are able to develop mutually respectful and deeply trusting relationships with our children. We will provide examples from our own homes and classrooms, with a handout for you to take home. Most importantly, your baby will get a chance to play in a safe, prepared environment in the fresh air!

Note: Even if you have attended a previous session, you must RSVP each week since space is limited!

Montessori Mornings

June 13th, 2018 at 10:00AM in Volunteer Park, Seattle

To assist a child we must provide him with an environment which will enable to him to develop freely” - Maria Montessori

Our first Montessori Mornings class is a great opportunity to get to know each other and meet other like-minded parents. After some introductions, we will discuss a few simple effective ways to incorporate Montessori into your home. By creating a mini Montessori environment at home, your child will feel more confident, independent, and respected! We will provide examples from our own homes and classrooms, with photos and a handout for you to take home. Most importantly, your baby will get a chance to play in a safe, prepared environment in the fresh air!

Please RSVP using the form below. Space is limited, so be sure to save a spot for you and your child! This series is for children under two, but siblings are welcome. **Note: You will need to RSVP for each session. An email will be sent with information about each session with the RSVP link a week in advance.**
